he cut his head open (he missed the pole from a shoe slide and hit his head). i'm very cautious right now- not letting him run or jump bec. i'm afraid that the wound will open. the glue is still there but how long does it take for the wound to heal? this is my first experience so i'm a little bit scared and stressed...btw, the accident happened last friday 9/15. pls. give me advises or answers.thank you.

The wound will take anywhere from two weeks to two months to heal. When you start to see pink skin around the wound you will know it is on the way to healing. The glue is strong and will hold, so the wound shouldn't open. It is best to ensure he doesn't bump it, however there is no need to be overcautious.

Tell your son this: A straight cut or wound takes longer to heal because it can be opened easier!....yours is a straight cut so you need to be careful not to hit that spot again, okay?
You keep an eye on him and he keeps an eye out for himself. Make it a joint effort. It should heal fine mom. Kids skin tends to heal faster than adults but with a more lasting scar if not tended to and clean properly. Follow your doctors instructions on proper care. Should only take 1-3 weeks to see good results depending on the size of the injury.

It usually takes about 3 weeks. And then it will probably come open again before it heals and you'll have to go back so they can do it again.

It should heal fast if u get some aloe vera gel and put on it or buy the plant and split it and put on the wound.

you can let him run and do some thing but limit it to no swimming or any thing becuz i had back surgry and i got glued and no it wont open just keep they butterfly stiches or wat ever is on it....on it.
