Wow, way to miss the point some of you. There's a reason I asked this in the 'Law & Ethics' forum. The question is, could the father be prosecuted for the dogs killed even though he never touched them? Is the bounty illegal or only the actual killing, which is carried out by others. People are prosecuted for contract killing of humans, does it also apply to animals?

Pit Bulls should be ban from the town...I own a dog and love dogs..but pit bulls sometimes even turn on their owners...they are a very strong and powerful dog....once they attack a human...they will again and again..until they are stopped....

There will be a curfew for all Pitbulls. 9.00pm during the week and 11pm on th weekend until further notice. The facts we know the poor little girl is dead. We know the father wants revenge. We know that all pitbulls in town are a target. Stay tuned for the next episode of The Terror on Pitbulls. ( your turn) PS Pitbulls just like Rotti's are so misunderstood. No I do not think pitbulls should be ban from a community. The people that own them need to have a full understanding of the breed. It starts with us be a responsible pet owner. I have a Rotti I'm speaking for the animals it's humans that need to be responsible a dog is a dog People take responsibility for your pet.

Pit bulls are no more violent then any other dog. They just pose a bigger threat then, lets say, a chihuahua, spaniel,or pug, because they are bigger. Dogs are not naturally aggressive toward people, this is a learned behavior. It's most likely they were abused by the owner. This is all the owners fault. However the man can be prosecuted for animal abuse, because he he gave an incentive to violence. If he had just said "all pits can should be killed" he would be within his rights. But, he promised a reward, which shows his intentions were to abuse animals. Remember, you can't shout fire in a theater.

If a dog bites a child or anyone for that matter, most state laws say the dog must be put to sleep NO MATTER WHAT!!!The family could also end up being sued!I know how my husband would react! If you can't prove who did it there is nothing they can do about it!The same "pretty much" just happened to his best friends son!The only part of his body the dog didn't bite was the arm he was using to push the dog anyway!Good Luck in what happens I sure will being praying!Mostly for the little girl!God Bless!!

I do understand your question but I really don't know the law on that sitution..I don't agree with the mans handling of the sitution with the bounty and all I do believe that is wrong..I do understand his motive for it..I hate pitbulls and I seriously believe they should be outlawed..They WILL bite the hand that feeds them..I don't care how carefully you bring them up , it's in the blood of the breed to attack and it doesn't take much to set the dogs off..But to take the law into your own hands NO. They should stop the breeding of them..The dogs aren't to blame..It's in their blood....

Pitbulls should be banned, but the man should be fined for his reckless endangerment of the public.
