There are A LOT of easily manipulated ppl in the USA. To be precise, exactly 51% of the USA fall in this category.. that's how many voted for him.
Also, Karl Rove's election tactics is basically to divide the masses into groups, target their prejudices and then to conquer each one at a time.

I'm not sure they did. Americans knew Gore was a politician, sounded like a politician, looked like a politician. and didn't want a politician for president. WELL either Mr Bush wasn't well known or thought he had his fathers understanding of world affairs, and the diplomacy of the father. As one woman said "he is much better looking than Gore." and then "much better looking than Kerry." Maybe looks make the difference.

People like Rush Lamebrain and Ann Colder provided the lubrication for what was to come.
Unfortunately only a minority chooses to vote leaving the door open for whatever. Too many people were snoozing after the wealth and peace of the Clinton years. Who wooda thunk a schmuck would get elected that would squander our national wealth?

I for one do not fall for George W. Bush's LIES because George W. Bush HAS NEVER LIED TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. The Liars are the Liberal Media and Liberal Democrats who stab President Bush in the back and make him look like a crook. Liberals KNOW THE TRUTH but they know that if the SPEAK THE TRUTH, Bush approval ratings goes up and their popularity goes down.

Because as head of state he is not just another politician, and despite Watergate people still don't want to believe that the president will deliberately lie to them. As well, he benefited from special circumstances (9-11) and the fact that people were scared and looking for reassurance and protection.

It seems a total mystery to me even now. i mean, the more he opens his mouth to speak, the more I can NOT stand him and what he stands for. He is THE MOST horrific president EVER to set foot in the oval office, and the most deceiving and demonic evil being on this earth.
