Try looking him in the face when he's expecting you to just walk by. By the way he looks in your eyes you might know if he likes you. Try to get his attention and just talk to him one day even if you're shy he'll talk to you too.

try little moves like visual contact, smiles, common friends? Maybe he's shy too & if you don't go towards him then nothing will happen. Good luck
