I think he easily could have been if he had taken better care of himself.
I had the privledge of meeting him once, he really was larger than life. A baseball god among mortals.

No! He is one of the best, but not #1. You can have a homerun hitting it 350, you don´t have to go 700... a 350 hr and a 700 hr count the same! Hank Aaron had plenty more. So the greatest is Aaron! In about 350 days, Bonds will pass Aaron and he is going to be the best... well, for me, Bonds is the best, but i´ll wait until the actual numbers prove it.

Barry Bonds is. I dont care about the steroid allegations. He has never tested positive for steroids and until he does, I will consider him the best home run hitter ever. He has the record for the most homeruns in a single season and he is 23 homeruns away from breaking Hank Aaron's all time record.

He may not be the greatest home run hitter of all-time just because he doesnt have the most career. But damn their can be an arguement for the most powerful home run hitter of all time. A home run over 700 feet, that is just insane.

He just hits it far. It doesn't make him the best homerun. I believe Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron were the best homerun hitters in a lifetime.

I think it was Babe Ruth, but there are a couple guys playing now that I think if they can keep it up could be right up there, and that's Ryan Howard of the Phillies & Albert Pujols of the Cards.
