It's a problem, 'labels.' We need them, but they hinder us through what they do.

I read palms. I don't tell fortunes or see the future, I see the past and tell you your secrets ...though it works by degrees, and sometimes, doesn't work at all.

I have no idea how it works or, how I do it. But then again, I really don't think that 'I do it.' But I couldn't say 'how it gets done' either.

Being 'bipolar' can disable you, though it would help if the word used instead was 'dis-enabled.'

This is a 'difficult question' because it generates questions of you as in - 'Why not remain open minded'?

What are you worried about?

or, Why worry? Why be ''worried'' at all?

As for the term 'Mad.' I'd be inclined to kill that word stone dead. You don't need it, it does no one any good as it is (by implication) an 'End of the Road' word, and that's not the image I get from you and your words.

If she has, by your own admission, a 'sharp sixth sense,' and all that goes with it, then you have someone who is 'Special' there in your life.

Try looking at it and her in that light, and go on from there.

I wish you well.
Sash.

The key here is love. If you love her (and obviously you do) then your love will help to protect her from the dangerous parts of her ability. It would be best if you arrange with her that when her behaviour worries you, that you talk. Turn your worry into something positive. Tell yourself and your wife that she can use her gift carefully and not be mad.

The only thing I can suggest that you both do is yoga. It is harmless, and helps to concentrate your mind and body. I have practiced Ashtanga yoga, and the effects are very positive. It is balancing, and so works with the bi-polar problem.

Remind her that the "meetings" are at least partly of her own volition, and that she does not have to do anything that she personally does not want to do. No harm can come from considered action or inaction. Generally, these spirits could be seen as personifications of her own thoughts and impressions. But she can use her own judgement as to whether or not the "advice" is worth taking.

If you both find that life is still difficult, do not hesitate to find a medical doctor. They are learning more and more about bipolar disorder every day, and there may be a medication that will do precisely what is needed.
Good luck, and God bless.

Please continue to be open minded. I, too, have a gift. I also suffer from severe depression and panic/anxiety attacks. I also do accurate readings of complete strangers and precognitive abilities. I am on medication, but my gift still works. I can live a "normal" life, but I still often answer questions that have not been asked. At first, I thought it was terrible, but now I realize that I have been given a gift by someone higher than me. I also had to sacrifice part of my mental health to have this gift. A pretty even trade off in my books.

Most bi-polar people have very sensitive emotions. My advice would be to ur on the side of caution and seek treatment for the bi-polar condition, because left untreated this will develop into depression, anxiety and possibly spiral out of control. The gifted side is no problem......... but may be a search for something never found.................bi-polar people are also perfectionists. That's why they are sensitive about critisism and often fall out with those they love most. check the situation out with your GP, before action is taken. Good Luck !!!!

The crazy are often highly gifted as well. Please give her alot of love because she may be tortured.Im like that but Meds help.Still i have a sense of phyic ability I try to ignore because it will take you to dark places.Try to make sure she is on meds her ability is probly real but not healthy for her.meeting with the dead is a disturbing thing.Really I think she would be healthier if she avoided hand reading and such just because we have a gift does not mean it is a good thing.but that is her decision on what she can mentally handle.some of that may be satan you know he prays on weak people other stuff is probly real.

Sound as if she is gifted and has a disorder. As long as she keeps her bipolar under control you should both be fine. I'd read up on some material so you will understand what to look for in her behaviour and that you might understand her conditon better.

Dangerous subject. It is certainly true but don't talk or listen to people who think that she is sick. You should not worry about it just because people don't comprehend something like that. She is great and won't hurt anybody and she certainly won't hurt you. Accept it as a gift. There is many people like her. Salut.

Damn you are brave! I'd be worried, keep your mind empty. My son is bipolar and i think it is getting to be a common type of diagnosis. He has no meds and no episodes in 5 years. Just thru his teenage years when they said his hormones was out of control. lots of luck to you and yours.
