My friend's doing an english assignment and he has to find something in pop-culture like a song or something that relates to a story. The story is about this chinese girl thats going out with a white boy, and their parents are proud of their heritage so they want to keep their family pure chinese, but they see their daughter with the white boy and she gets in a lot of trouble. Please help me find something that relates to this. A song or something... thanks!

Theres that song by Hootie and the Blowfish I think...where his girl is white and her dad has a problem with her dating a black guy. That is similiar. I will see if I can remember the name or find it for ya.

I am too old to know anything right off about current songs, however.... Look for any song with the theme of not liking anyone who is different or fear of difference. That is what the story is really about. It does not have to be a racial difference either to relate to the story. Try some of Ashley Simpson's songs (do you kids still listen to her) as she is always writing songs about feeling different, etc.
