I am now dating a guy that both me and my best friend from high school were interested in. He picked me not her, now i know that she is going to be mad when she finds out. how should i handle this?

Let her know Ebrinkley that he chose you not her and although it will hurt her feelings tell her that you did not do it intent-ally and no one can control who they fall for its not a choice but more of a heart matter she may not want to talk to u but if she is a real friend she will let by gone be by gone and be your friend since she liked him I wouldn't hang out with her and him this may hurt her feelings even more good luck

do not wait until she finds out herself, it is best that you tell her right from the start b/c she will be mad if she has to find out herself.
and don't worry about her being mad... you were interestd in him, too, right? i am sure she will be happy for you. just mention it when you are talking to her on the phone.

What is more important: this guy or your friendship? If you think the guy is more important go out wit him and hope for the best. If you think the friendship is more important then forget the guy.
