Normally I'd say they are just Braxton-Hicks contractions, but having that many per hour is NOT GOOD. You need to call your doctor's emergency line ASAP or go to the ER. You could be in preterm labor.

They could be Braxton Hicks, could be the real thing. Many babies are born at 29 weeks.
Lay down on your left side, drink some water, and call your OB to be sure. You can always go and get yourself checked at your local hospital.

Braxton-Hicks? Maybe... but call your doctor or go to an emrgency room- I went into labor at 26 weeks and it had to be prolonged... I still delivered at 32 and a half weeks (twins), but there was medictaion I needed to take in order to make sure that they were healthy and developed. They were 5.2 and 6.8 lbs!

they are probably braxton hicks (sp?), but i would not take chances if i were you. my daughter was born at 29 weeks and weighed 2 lbs 6 oz, and if i would have gotten to the hospital in time they could have stopped my labor. she is almost 5 and doing fine now, tho.

Chec kwith your doctor to make sure. Chances are they are Braxton-Hicks. these are " rehearsal' contraction. they are usually not painfull but can be very uncomfortable. They can come early, especially if you are stressed. Mine started in week 17 and I had to stop working! but all went OK with some rest!
CHECK WITH your doctor to be safe.

To be on the safe side I would call your doctor. He/she may have you go to Labor & Delivery just to get checked out. Better safe than sorry.
