I'm not quite sure how to appropriately phrase it--I think my current phrasing, "¿Cómo ayudará Ud. para la situación?" would mean "How does the situation help you?" Should I put "le" in between the first and second words, delete "para" from the sentence, or something else? Please help.

Your current phrasing doesnt make much sense.
sounds almost like your trying to say "How would you help in the situation?"
If you want "How does the situation help you?" it should be
""¿Cómo ayudará la situación para Ud.?"
but then if you just want "How will you help?" then
""¿Cómo ayudará Ud.?" should be just fine.
