Ive always been taught to judge people is wrong. Telling them their going to hell for being gay and other things are a sin...so why do people do it? My vision of the great one is to LOVE ALL HIS PEOPLE DESPITE THE DIFFERENCES...it says to do so ALL through the bible.

Judgment is the flawed assumption that the judger has complete knowledge of a situation; the sum of all causes, the motivations & their causes, the effects of an action or event & its results far into the future on all concerned.

Judgement makes the judger feel secure & superior to the judged.
It is a mind of condemnation, seperation & opacity.

Judgement arises from ignorance. The less people understand themselves & others, the more inclined they are to judge. The greater the understanding of ourselves & others, the less willing we become to accept the smallness & constriction of judgement within our mind.

Only God can judge the heart of a person, and so He says that by the same measure we judge another, that same measure will be used to judge us. We cannot look into the heart of another, and so we can never really know what someone's heart condition is.

But He also tells us throughout the Bible, especially through the Prophet Paul, to judge all things. What does this mean? You can judge a person's actions and rightly determine whether they are someone with whom you should associate or not. This is why God says that Bad company corrupts good habits. If you were not able to use your intellect and better judgement concerning a person or group of people, you could not Biblically keep your children safe from drug dealers, pedophiles, rapists, murderers, thieves, the like, because it would be a 'sin' to judge them.

It is not a sin to consider if an action someone is doing is right or wrong based on scripture. If it were a sin, the command to "go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature" would not be necessary because when one does preach to some one it would primarily be to some one who is without God. That person would be making a judgment based on what the person was doing. And whether the person needed God. Sinful judging is when you judge the heart of a person. If that person is sincere in what they do and say.

I like the way you think. Alas, we are taught to be God-like but we are human and prone to sin and flaws. It is such a horrible characteristic to judge, as if one person's standard is the one by which we live. Not so. All any of us can do is set an example and try to improve.

I used to be judgemental of others. Not everyone.. but since I've seen and understood what i was doing is wrong (long time ago I came to this decision) I see people for people, not what they look like or what they do necessarily... It's a very freeing feeling... wish everyone was a little more like that...

Low self-esteem drives people to judge others in order to feel superior. It's the only way they feel they have any value. You could pity them, if they didn't work so hard trying to make others pay for their so-called "sins".

I was taught the same way.
Thou shall not judge lest ye be judged.
I guess the people will understand that its not right to judge when Judgement Day comes. They will have to answer to God.

I hereby will never judge anybody for baring false witness -- go right ahead and commit perjury, fraud, libel and slander and I have no right to stop you -- nor for stealing or killing. Nobody can judge anybody else. That's what you said. Nobody can judge anybody else. No matter what any person has ever done, nobody can judge anybody else. Open up the jails and let everybody out 'cause nobody can judge anybody else. Nobody can judge. Period. That's what you said.

Nimrod. Try saying it again.

It's a sin. I am very guilty.

I despise the Democrat Party for keeping me down and keeping me poor for years. To make it worse, I believed their lies and voted Democrat.
I finally wised up. I will never forgive. Never forget. And I judge them, and find them evil.
