Do you think it is ok for a married man or a man with a girlfriend, wait for his spouse to leave home and get on the internet (myspace.com) and look at other women or ask to be added to their friends list or secretly communicate with these women or not or maybe just adding or being added to the women friends list?

For men or women it is not harmless. If one, or both, feel the need to find others, even it in their mind it is just to talk, there is something wrong with your relationship.

If both partners were happy with each other the only talking would e between each other or friends. I see from some of your answers that there are some that think it okay.

I can attest from my own experience, it is not. I got caught up in this several years ago. Discovered ICQ so gave it a try. I soon found it very addictive and there is no such thing as man and woman talking on line with the soul purpose of being friends. Always more to it.

My wife felt as you do. But I could not quit. I made sure I only talked to women far away with little to no chance of ever meeting. This made me think that what I did was not really cheating.

This hurt my wife and weakened an already poor relationship.
Before long I realized she was talking on line also only via e-mail.
What could I do....I had done it so......

It finally dawned on my that even though she said she talked to only men in other parts of the country there was no reason why she could not be doing so with some one close.

I became very paronoid about it and finally ask her if she was planning to leave me. Her response hurt me as much as I might have hurt her.

She felt we should separate....find out where we wanted to go. I loved her dearly and this was the worse pain I have ever had in my life. I knew she would never consider this without a man to help her through this. I was right.

We divorced and I am now married again. She lives alone as Mr. wonderful turned out to be far worse than I.

There is never anything innocent about talking to the opposite sex on-line. Never!

If your truly happy in your relationship you wouldn't be seeking other women to communicate with. It maybe innocent and nothing harmful may come of it, it's not right. How would you feel if the situation was turned around? Another point I would like to make is, what is the next step when you are bored talking on-line with women? Meeting these women?

It's OK for him to do it only if it's OK to do the same! Otherwise, it's not OK for him to do it, if it is also not OK for you to do the same. Make sense? Either both do it or neither does it, PERIOD.
