They can pop at high altitudes..but at normal altitude I think it is 5 litres capacity unless you smoke or have lung disease...some people only have one lung or one and a half lung. You can't blow up your own lungs without a mechanical device like a pump.
The volume is measured with the inhalation + exhalation.

No because is not posible to suck that much air you will get exhausted before your lungs can "blow up lol"

No,they won't. Your lungs are composed of many tiny sacks and are designed to expand to a greater degree than the amount of air you can inhale.

i dont think so, because your lungs would just stop expanding, so you'd just sufficate unless you breathe out. lol.
