Signed into order by the Chairman and every member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the plan (read it yourself) calls for innocent Citizens to be shot on American streets; American ships to be sunk on the high seas; for a wave of violent "terrorism" to be launched in major East coast cities.
Operation Northwoods calls for Foreign Nationals to be framed for bombings they did not commit; and for planes to be hijacked and crashed into landmarks.
Using the phony evidence, all of it would be blamed on a foreign country, thus giving Political and Military leadership the excuse, as well as the public and international backing, they need to launch a war.

They might, but I am unconvinced they were behind 9/11. So far.
I think the point of this post is just to highlight what the US Government is capable of, regardless of political affiliation.
The world is a tough place, with people desperately trying to get even more power and control.
And the Cuban missile crisis was really precipitated by US plans to place missile sites in Italy and Turkey. We got them in Turkey, we didn't completely accomplish those objectives in Italy, due to Italian citizen opposition. We did have plans to kill Batista, and may have directly supported Castro, until he got a little too cozy with the USSR.

these days the quest for oil and power is what runs the us government. thats why we are in the mid east now and not 40 years ago. the real problem in this country is that the general population is not willing to open their eyes! go with your gut people! you know whats going on now is not wright.
so i guess my answer is yes

I don't believe that our country would ever do things like that, and if a person who lives here trully believes that junk, I just wonder why they would even stay here.
