Heeled Shoes vs. Flat Shoes
While high heels may not be as good for your feet or body, they will make your feet look smaller. The good news is that chunky heels and wedges usually accomplish this better than stiletto heels, and they're typically much easier to wear.
The heel height doesn't factor in quite as much on men's shoes, since there isn't that much of a variance, but typically styles that show just a hint of sole around the upper of the shoe will make your feet look shorter.
Round Toes Instead of Pointy Toes
Pointy toed shoes can make even the daintiest of feet appear long. Since they're usually very close-fitting, they also make the foot look thinner.
Narrow shoe styles might be a good thing if you think your feet look too wide, but if it's the length of your feet that is keeping you up at night, you definitely want to steer clear of slim shoes with pointy toes. The same goes for guys, so bicycle toes should be avoided.
Dark Colored Shoes
Shoes in darker colors will make your feet appear smaller than shoes in light or pastel shades, but don't feel like you just have to stick to black. In addition to darker earth tones and grays, deeper versions of red, blue, purple and green will serve you better than their lighter-toned counterparts.
Avoid Skimpy Sandals
A strappy sandal that exposes a lot of the foot will make anyone's foot look larger, but showing a little bit of your foot can work to your advantage. To break the monotony of just wearing closed shoes, women can try peep-toes, D'Orsays or sling-backs.
Closed Shoes for Men and Women
As a general rule for closed shoes, the more material there is on top of your foot, the longer your foot will appear. A style with an opening that is closer to the toes will not look as big as a shoe in which the foot opening is very close to the front of your leg.
Accents Make Big Feet Look Smaller
For women, bows, buckles, lace overlays, and kiltie detailing will make feet appear more petite, and guys who want their dogs to look smaller should check out shoes with tassels, and straps that cross the shoe closer to the toes than the leg.

Whatever looks best on you is best.
The only thing I would avoid is white shoes (except sneakers). I have small feet but they are broad. White shoes make them look like little hooves.
My best friend has size 11 shoes and white shoes on her just draw attention to her feet and away from her pretty face.
I've always gone with either neutral shoes or shoes that match my slacks. Boots are fine too.
Any way you go, make sure the shoes are the right size. A lot of women in America are wearing at least a size too small. Wiggle room in the toes please!
Be fabulous

I also have larger feet and my daughter wears an 11. I say wear any kind of shoe you want, you only live once, so be happy. I have to agree with the long, pointy toes, but then I don't wear them because they are uncomfortable. I take my daughter shoe shopping all the time and I can't tell the type of shoe really makes her feet look bigger or smaller, I just get her what she says is comfy. She loves shoe and has 3 baskets full, it doesn't bother her that they are large.

Any shoe with a heel looks great on larger feet. Flats accentuate the size. Pumps flatter the legs and take the focus off the feet!

Speaking as a women who wears size 11, anything with a round toe makes our feet look smaller. BUT some styles of pointed toes make then look small, considering how high the heals are. If they are high enough, and if wearing jeans, it brings your foot up and makes them look like size 8. I have a great pair of wedge heels that make my huge feet look wonderfully small. But they also don't make many shoe's in those sizes at all.

Heels, especially stillettos, can and will make your feet look smaller because you only see part of it. I am a size 11 shoe.
Pointy toes will make your feet look bigger, but still look fashionable and fantastic.
Wedges and platforms will also make your feet look bigger and sometimes fatter.
Boots, as long as they aren't really chunky, will look fine. Ankle boots should be a No-No.
At least mid-calf.
I hope this helps you!
PS Black and other dark colors will also help shrink feet. (And your waistline too, if you know how to use it!)

GET to the large feet out let or stores. BOOTS are cool in wide sizes. I wear a lot of cool flats with my big wide feet.BOOTS suit large feet depends on what you wear. GOOD luck.

It depends- do you want to draw attention to your feet or away from your feet? I think that its not the type of shoe that matters but its to do with colour and shapes of different styles, eg you could get a pair of flip flops that draw less attention to your feet than a pair of heels. Also i thinks it has a lot to do with the type of clothes that are or are not on your legs. If you want to draw attention away from your feet, a relatively simple way is to wear a low cut top! That way people are staring at your boobs!

Avoid: white shoes, pointy toes
Look for: Open toed shoes, Sandals, Flip flops, clogs, wedges, mules
Heels vs flats is not as important as avoiding shoes that make your feet look bigger (white and pointy toes).
As for boots. . . go for a simple design. Avoid excess straps, laces and buckles.
