i have a violin that i never play anmore and i don't want. what can i do with it?
it's an beginners/intermediate violin and i only paid 160 dollars for it. what should i do with it? it just stays in it's case each and every day. i haven't played it for 2 years.

post an ad in the classifieds of your local newspaper, it will be bought quickly. don't sell it on ebay...you'll lose money...reason why is because there are professionals on there who sell them for a penny and charge $45 shipping...so its possible yours won't sell on eBay....I know this because for a while there I bought those violins from eBay seller and resold them in the newspaper classifieds, many a pretty penny them too. There is another option, donating it to Goodwill and take a tax deduction.

Give it away to a school or club for musicians. There are so many children who want to play an instrument but do not have the money to buy one. Call a school talk to the music director and maybe he/she can make sure the instrument goes to a student who otherwise would not be able to take music

You could donate it to a public school, or give to a friend who needs one. That would be a nice thing for you to do.
