It started in Naples, Italy. Made for the Queen. Her name was Margherita.
It was made with mozzarellla, tomatoes, and basil for the Italian flag. That is why if you order this pizza in Italy it is called Pizza Margherita.

Italy...the Romans ate a dish very similar to the pizza we have today I think its just been adapted over the years.
