I thought Randy Moss went back to college? Isn't he with the Raiders? Oh yeah, I forgot the Raiders are still considered an NFL team.

There is absolutely no way you can say that Randy Moss is the best player in the NFL if he isn't even the best at his position.

Right now, Steve Smith and Torry Holt are hands down the two best wide receivers in the game. Moss is extremely over rated, takes to many plays off and is a cancer in the locker room.

No disrespect to Randy Moss as he is a great football player. But I can't call him the best player in the game. When I think of the term "best player" I'm looking for something more than stats. I'm looking for the leader that inspires the rest of his team to excell to the next level. A leader who is there on every play.
There are many who do this in the game right now but all I need do is look at the 2000 Baltimore Ravens( I hate them)and I see a man who raised the game of those around him and caused his team to win a Superbowl. Can anyone deny that Ray Lewis is such a man?

Tom Brady is probably the best player in the NFL based on both personal success and as team leader. Randy Moss is a primadonna and has shown himself to not be a team player - you can't be a team player you can't be the best player in the NFL. There are a good 500 players I would rank ahead of Randy Moss.

Randy Moss may be "one of the most talented receivers in the league" but that's about it. You don't get to be called anything close to "best player in NFL" until your contributions to your team and to the game are examined. When you look at Moss he, like Owens, is actually a terrible failure as an NFL player. His teams have actually done very badly overall with him on the roster.

He is a completely abusive, self centered, self destructive personality and shows no sign at all of any positive change over the years.

He has throughout his life been involved in violent and brutal assaults, domestic violence, assaulting NFL officials, assaulting a police officer with his car, parole violation, several drug charges, indecent behavior and on and on. He appears to be the NFL's answer to Mike Tyson!

You compare his contributions to men like Deion Branch, Marvin Harrison, Ray Lewis or Steve Smith and what THEY bring to the team, you'll see a world of difference. All the talent in the world is useless if you can't use it to win Championships............

To answer your first question, no, nobody else does, only you.
The best all around player in the nfl is Ladanian Tomlinson simply for the fact that not only is he dominant at the position he plays, but he is also a threat catching the ball and passing the ball, he's even a good pass blocker when he needs to be. His versatility is what makes him the best.

He might be... If he had someone to actually get him the ball... Unfortunately, until he leaves Oakland, or the Raiders pick up a quarterback (and an O-Line that isn't pathetic), that won't happen...

randy moss is a very PHYSICALLY talented athlete. although his work ethic, his attitude, and his mouth have ruined it for him. in my opinion he is the most overrated player in the league.

What are we basing "best" on this time? If it's stats from a few years ago, maybe. Anything else, NFW.
