We cannot choose where we are born, our ethnicity, our gender, our nationality, our parents, , the religion we are born into, our names, how we look like, etc., yet look how big of a deal society makes about these things. People suffer so much because of society makes such a huge deal out of such trivial things that we cannot even choose, that we are born into out of mere chance. We are all human beings, so why does it matter that by mere chance we are born into these circumstances? The world is a terrible place because people have allowed their stupidity to put so much emphasis on such trivial things.

I could not agree more. Nicely put.

I often think about who I would be were I born into a different family, a different culture, etc, and encourage others to do the same. How nice it would be if we could all see each other for what we truly are - all just people who are fundamentally the same.

Most divisions are political. Most people think the divisions have to do with being fair to a minority, but if there were no divisions, there could be no minority. On forms asking for race or ethnicity, I check "other" and write in "human" on the line after. I know some people have a tougher time than others, but almost all have it better than someone else also, so it is comparative, not absolute. Wanting things to be better usually inspires people to find a way to make it so. The problem may be in the way institutions, such as government, limit the opportunities available. If everyone has an equal opportunity, then the rules are applied equally, and there would be fewer problems because everyone would know they got what their abilities earned them.

I have to disagree with you about not choosing where we are born, our gender, our parents, our bodies, etc. We do choose those. We also choose our religion and if we are born into a religious family we do not have to keep that religion. We are not victims of circomstance, not by a long shot. We are not at the mercy of others. We create our own reality and are very powerful. If more people would realize this it would change the world.
I WILL agree with you that people are stupid and hurtful and bullying. But if we realize that we choose our own lives and how we look and who and what we are then maybe we would be a little more proud about ourselves and get past being hurt. We would concentrate on creating our lives instead of what others are doing or saying. We don't have to react to things like that.
We can only be hurt if we choose to do so.

lady i think the best idea for u (just a suggestion) is to use ur knowlage to tell people to relax and be themselfs, some people who set these things in society are selfconcius of themselfs and they use their power to make other peole feel bad, i keep things cloes and only worry about the peole who realy matter to me, my family and firends, if i see a person on the street who is being put down by society i do one of two things i either let this person go because i know they will overcome their challenge or i offer them some help, not a lot only what is needed to clear up their mind so they can move foward in life, this world is not terrible in any way, im not saying u r wrong but i want u to look at it in anoter way, just try this: where ever u r find something u enjoy that u r able to walk around with, and walk around ur town for a half an hour and try not to think about any thing just walk and look u'll see things are not as bad as they seem, remember the song "even when all hope is gone move along move along"

with the aid of fact it has become pg the story lines are lots much less exciting you may tell that it is not the comparable the way they carry out and it has become very boring and predictable its no longer approximately undies contests or lesbian storylines or perhaps vulgar promos its just about better storylines with out regulations and you will definetly tell there are regulations their turning a favorite tutor right into a little ones in easy terms tutor just about. fyi im no longer a cena hater yet he wasn't quite around in the process the suggestions-set era im notably effective and if he become he become purely beginning out interior the employer and not on suitable, and jeff hardy become a suitable tag team/ mid card wrestler and intensely familiar in the process the suggestions-set era although he wasn't a suitable guy. that become while the rock and austin have been interior the wwe and the proper superstars. BQ: that could be slightly disapointing with the aid of fact i unquestionably had to work out morrison being pushed and Jericho could've given him that push he necessary and can've made a sturdy feud. Edit: WOW those comments are aggravating me, some like the Rock's are real those that are asserting that the individuals who enjoyed the suggestions-set era are not real followers that is b.s. follow ROH in case you want to easily watch wrestling yet real followers of the WWE are followers of the action the storylines the genius Vince McMahon, people who unquestionably locate it exciting interior the PG era and have faith that is larger than the suggestions-set era with the greats like Austin Undertaker Michaels The Rock and such a brilliant number of extra are purely easy stupid and not real followers in any respect. suggestions-set era is what the WWE and Vince McMahon is all approximately.

There was a song in the sixties called Melting Pot, the Idea being how wonderful it would be if all the races of the world intermarried and interbred until we all ended up looking like everybody else. This was a popular concept back then but I think it's a little short sighted. We don't need a melting pot, what we need is to acknowledge the diversity in the world, and to celebrate it. Variety is not the spice of life. It is life.

Because some people have to make themselves feel superior to others. I grew up in a very ethnically diverse neighborhood in Cali then moved to Ariz to the same kind of neighborhood then I moved to West Virginia. You talk about culture shock. No tolerance at the time of anything diverse or different. I was told by my new Grandfather I shouldn't talk about the fact that I had a black Uncle. He's since passed and things have changed some. He'd really roll over in his grave if he knew that same Uncle is not only black but Gay. I'm white he's Black and gay but he's still the Uncle that taught me how to box when the bigger kids started to pick on me. He's still the uncle who put me on a chair and taught me how to shoot pool. I love all my family very much and moving here put me very far away from them. I thank god everyday for the people that love me and feel sorry for those who feel that they need to tear people down because they are different either physically or otherwise.

i agree with you...in the movie.."Mississippi Burning", there is a conversation about a boy, his father and a mule. When the black man down the street got a mule to help him with his farming the father killed the mule...when the boy ask why the father would do such a thing..the father answered..if I'm not better than a n,,,er than who am i better than? this is the mentality of the majority of the people of the world...you can plug any ethnic slur you wish into the blanks...this is the sadness of our kind...the ignorant will always be with us.

Rock on! Didn't catch a question in there but I totally agree with your statement except to say that I'm not sure that most people place as much emphasis on these things as you seem to suggest. But, in the end it is definitely there. It seems that we humans are instinctively and fundamentally clannish.

I agree very much with you that these things are trivial. But the world is not a "terrible place", it just reflects the bad as much as the good in human beings. And, as we know, we are not perfect.
