Like how it's so acceptable for straight girls to say other girls are hot or pretty or even sexy but when a guy says that every one turns and laughs or something..i'm wondering if any guys ever don't have a problem with that and if maybe in other cultures it's more acceptable...?

I'm a woman and I can admit that a woman is beautiful. I'm comfortable with that. But I think most guys are kind of homophobic in such matters. They think admitting it would make them sound like gay. They should get over it.

Sure I can admit when a guy is good looking. I wish I looked like George Clooney. Mel Gibson used to be good looking when he was Mad Max but not so much any more.
I don't tell a guy I meet in real life that I think he's good looking
Well maybe if he's crying in his beer over losing a girlfriend.

After reading the other answers I'm amazed at how many females answered for us and were wrong. You sure don't understand men little darlings.

I am 110% straight and since I used to weight lift I can definitely appreciate a male body knowing how much work it took to achieve the result, So yes I have said to my wife about the good looks of a man Besides that, if I get caught staring at a women I then don't get in as much trouble

They usually say it real fast in the middle of a sentence so they can't be questioned. Just joking. I have heard straight men acknowledge good looking men without being afraid they would be classified as gay. They usually don't say, "Hey, that man standing over there is good looking." They may acknowledge a handsome man when describing someone such as an actor.

Listen baby Im a straight guy and I know brad pitt probably looks better than me, all guys know this, the problem is we don't care about it. If a brad pitt looking guy started talking to me and isn't a nut case or wont rip me off I don't care what he looks like. Guys only care about what a woman looks like. And another thing is I have know guys who have the brad pitt looks but are too shy to use it. And I know guys who are just regular and get alot of girls because they are crazy and partying alot, so looks don't matter to us even if we know which one of us had the better looking parents.

The human eye usually perceives greater symmetry as better looking! So a heterosexual male can look at a good looking male and see whether or not he is good looking. In fact it might instill feelings of jealousy, envy, competitiveness, resentment, or admiration (in the sense that he may think wow he's lucky) depending on how that man thinks and reacts.

I've heard lots of straight guys refer to other guys as 'pretty boys' or good looking. There are some overly macho types who won't say those words for fear that someone will think he's gay, but those guys are usually very insecure or have had bad experiences.

a woman in general don't see it as a threat to say someone of the same sex is good looking.

They probably just say it in their heads. Like...I like his leather jacket, maybe I'll get one too and impress my girlfriend."
