12x12 for sure a little larger will help same size won't scrape well

You should get a square brush the same size as the chimney. If your chimney is not exactly 11" you should go the the next higher size. A smaller one will not clean as well. Wire Brushes and Flat Wire Brushes should be used on masonry and ceramic flues. Poly Brushes should be used in prefab chimneys, metal chimneys and metal flue liners. Hope this helps.

A 12x12 would work better because it will fit tight in the chimney and remove the soot but not cause damage. Any tool should fit tight, you can ask my woman.

Use a 12x12. It takes a lot of friction to remove stuck on creosote.
