I was about 6 months when others could really notice that I was pregnant, and my sister was the same way. Congrats on the baby.

Well honey, we don't know what you look like, and every pregnancy is different. Just because you don't show like slimmer women doesn't mean anything. Buy some maternity tops that say Baby on them, or the one I saw the other day cracked me up, it said "I'm not fat, I'm pregnant." I found one at Ross last week that said "Knocked Up" if it wasn't so dirty I probably would have bought it.
Don't worry about what other people think, and look on the bright side; random strangers won't be coming up touching your belly because you're pregnant. I hate that. My mom saw in Ann Landers (or whatever it's called now) where some woman was waiting in the grocery line and this grouchy old man looked at her and said, "well are you pregnant, or just fat?" She replied, "Well are you stupid or just rude?" Good for her, some people just suck. Good luck sweetie. =)

This is true. I was also a heavy woman in one of my earlier pregnancies - you won't really "show" (look like you're pregnant), until at least the later of your 2nd trimester.
This does depend not only on how overweight you are, but your body size in general. I think you're concerned more with when you will "look pregnant." You will feel the uterus growing, and your belly getting hard, but you won't really look like you're pregnant until later on in your pregnancy. Your doctor is right.
Just remember to eat healthy this pregnancy. Drink plenty of water, and eat good foods. Stay away from the bad carbs, and watch your glucose level.

I am the same way. I think people just think I am fat but I am 6 months along too. But don't worry about other people's opinions. The only way people can tell with me is that I wear maternity clothes now. I have heard that heavier girls will be more noticeable the farther along they are too. I hope that is true. Congrats and good luck

my sister is a big and beautiful woman, and she did not show until like month 7. It just depends on your body. Or you may not show at all. Just take care of yourself and the baby, and that is all that matters. Dont worry about if you are showing or not...

Yes, it also depends how heavey you are many heavey women don't show till the end, and some you can really never tell. Point is you are having a baby be happy about that.
