A neck injury took me from the clinical side of nursing. I returned to school and now am a controller for a hospital district. Accounting is enjoyable, though I will gladly admit that I miss nursing.
A colleague of mine became a FNP went to First Assistant training and now practices at a VA hospital. He gets to perform a lot of interesting procedures. If you like teaching, there is funding for advanced degrees in nursing
