Any kind of infection in the area. Even lice will cause nodes to swell.

Behind your ear is a slightly unusual place. Do you have any kind of insect bite or injury on your scalp. If its been their weeks or is there weeks or is larger than a grape you should get it checked out. You may need antibiotics or even a biopsy

could be an infected molar or an infected ear piercing. could also be something rather more serious, better see a doctor.

last time this happened to me it was an infected wisdom tooth... but im sure there are numberious other causes
