Which country? :-) In a sense I own a great deal to my country in other ways I owe nothing. To the people that have come before me and are now it this country that make it good place to live, I owe a great deal. To the "country" I own nothing, I have paid all my taxes. ;-)

To what country are we talking about, to America yes we owe the men everything we have that has gave their life for us, and those that are still fighting for us. proud to be a American. living in the land of the free, those countries that hate us are jealous of us because they will never have what we have. Freedom.

Every citizen owes something to their country. As JFK said in his 1960 inaugural address: "Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country."

I think that's the question JFK was attempting to answer by the statement-now-aphorism "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."

All we owe to America as American citizens is our taxes, our loyalty, and our inalienable rights.

yes or do you have to be reminded of the JFK speech "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country" I don't consider my military service to be enough, for such a great country! That is why I volunteered during Hurricane Katrina and I try to help where I can!

you will always "owe" for the most free country in the world....some country's goons would be knocking on your door right now for this question....some would tape you hands and feet to the steering wheel and gas petal and make you a suicide bomber for their cause
