hi.....as a fan of Myrtle Beach, I would suggest going there and visiting the Pavilion. It is in it's final season and will be demolished for new development after this year. It is a landmark at the beach and a sad thing to see go. The Pavilion is an amusement park and arcade downtown on the boardwalk that has provided great memories for decades. I am sure it is probably open into October but you could find out by going to their website www.mbpavilion.com
Good Luck! Myrtle Beach is not dirty and the beaches are great and clean! I would stay north of Pavilion area though. I like Sea Dip in Oceanfront high rise (type g and h rooms) www.seadip.com Very affordable and clean also.

I agree that Myrtle Beach is gross, yuck. I would suggest Folley Beach right outside of Charlseton. It is laid back and relaxing but there is still the ocean and if you want you only have to drive 15 minutes to get to downtown Charleston for some history. Plus it can be less expensive than other parts of the Charleston area. Have fun

Having lived in Charleston for a number of years I would have to say CHARLESTON! You can take your kids on tours of the old plantations, and the slave market. They can walk downtown on cobblestone streets and visit the homes of different people they will study in history. There's a park called Charles Town Landing, it's the zoo for Charleston, the kids will love it. You can also go to Dorchester state park, another place in history. They have haunted house tours, and in the spring they have the azalea festival. It's a nice way to combine history with fun.

Myrtle Beach is not dirty yall can go there, go to da next state to Carol Winds in NC or six flags in Georgia, Charleston beach or Hilton head or wait until da fair comes to yo town theres a lot u can do and yet im sittin here doin nuthin

Dont go to Myrtle Beach! Its dirty and the water is brown like poo u might get hepatitis. Charelston is nice, If u have alot of money Hilton Head is the best.
