when it does freeze up microsoft tells me its a yahoo messanger problem

you probably have spyware........ run a scan to get rid of it.

hit Alt Clt Delete and Under performance see what percentage of CPU you are using if you are using over 50% you need more ram or turn off some of your program that are running in the back ground. Get Window Defender and run Spy Scan and then under tools and Program Explorer find out what programs are running at startup and shut them down if you don't need them. By choosing to disable program from start-up make your computer run smother and turn some program off that you might not normally use....

uninstall it reboot and reinstall. try turning virus scan and anything runnig in the background
