Has anyone seen Helen Mirren in "The Queen". Waasn't she brilliant?

"The Queen" is a feature film which has just gone on release in UK & Ireland. Not sure if it's been released in the States yet.

YES he was absolutely brilliant , she will definitely get an oscar for her performance, I thought the others were not as convincing , the actor playing Tony Blair spoke very like him but i thought the similarity ended there and so on !!

I have'nt seen it yet but from the trailers it looks good. Helen Mirren looks great as the queen, wonder what the Queen thinks.

Yes I've seen it and I thought Helen Mirren was superb.She really seemed to immerse herself in that role. I enjoyed the film.

I haven't seen her in "The Queen", but I think Helen Mirren is a spectacular actress - she can be in one of my movies if she wants to (like I'd be that lucky!). Is "The Queen" a movie or a BBC production, or something else like that? I'd like to see it, but I'm stuck here in the USA, so I might have to wait for it to show up on our public telly over here.
