Roads, schools and health care are what the normal citizens, the voters, the real people, want, but we've got overpaid politicians (who have never known hardship) and they can afford all the best schools and healthcare in the world and as for the roads, their cars are so out of our range they wouldnt even notice a crater if they rode over one, so how do you expect them to think of us when they have no idea about REAL LIFE.

it wouldbe a better place, but iraq would be in ruins, and possibly have nuked the USA by now. So, what's the best of the 2 options, Spendind money on keeping another country out of the arms race, or waiting to be nuked? as A canadian, living just north of the border, I say spend the money on prevention. I'd like my grandkids to grow up without knowing the fear I felt as a child.

Lame, fairly lame. The attack on 9-11 cost usa, and continues to be costing usa, greater suitable than the final 5 years of protection rigidity action. via removing governments who help terrorism, and Hussein grew to become into publicly helping terrorism via paying human beings to blow themselves up in Israel, including Iraq and the Taliban we've decreased the capacity for destiny assaults. besides via giving the jerks who want to die battling usa a place to die far flung from the continental u . s . a . we decreased the possibility via decreasing the style of jerks. The funding in Iraq and Afghanistan is an funding to minimize the capacity costs of destiny assaults. Iraq is a conflict of economics, yet, it has not something to do with Oil.

Roads and Schools would be helped, healthcare would cost much much more, that money would not even make a dent in healthcare.

How can you put monetary value on human life to protect us from more terrorist attacks and for the men and women fighting to keep it that way..,how can you put a monetary value on the soldiers who have fought to thier death to keep us from being attacked again.Yeh and youre going to tell me you support our troops right? This proves you dont.I am a trucker and enough taxes are being paid for road repairs through fuel taxes and permit taxes which are more than you will pay in a life time.Health care??Get a job that has insurance..,if we still have all these problems why didnt youre god clinton fix them the 8 years he was in office???I have some tissues for your issues there cry baby.Better start appreciating the country you live in instead of bitching about it.

Just like it is now, because over the last 40 odd years we have spent in excess of a trillion dollars on education, but with liberals running the schools, they just get worse and worse every year.

I went to the UN recently and there is a chart there showing the world's budget on war and how much could be done with all that money. The chart showed that if the whole world were at peace for a year, the leftover money could solve just about every issue facing the world, the environment disease, education, poverty. I was amazed at how much money we use to kill that we should be using for good.

Good idea but that money would'nt have been spent on any social services. It would have been given away to Bush political freinds companies.
