Clinton raped no one...he had an adult affair with a woman who was willing... No RAPE...where do you get that idea...as far as Bush and booze, there is only accusation and a history of possibly getting out of a drunk driving ticket

Neither one is immoral.

A recovering alcoholic is on the right track. If drinking is immoral (unless you are a Muslim in which case drinking is haram), then a large part of our population is immoral. I do not see any immorality in trying to kick the habit.

Being an accused rapist is not the same as being a rapist. A person is innocent till proven guilty. Let the judicial system decide and then you can make your choice.

Don't jump to conclusions.

Neither. Being a recovering alcoholic is a good thing - it means that you are recovering! Being an "accused" rapist does not make you a rapist - only that someone claims that you are. Actually being a rapist is another matter entirely... that IS immoral.

Is this a trick question?

1) Rape is immoral. If a person accuses someone of rape when it is untrue, that is immoral. Just because someone is accused of something, it doesn't make him guilty. There is no morality or immorality involved in being accused of something immoral.

2) What could possibly be immoral about trying to recover from something like alcoholism?

I don't think either is particluarly immoral. A recovering alcoholic is a victim of sorts of his own addiction. An accused rapist is not necessarily a rapist, therefore there is no morality attached to it either way.

neither is immoral. One is an accusation, not proof. Until there is proof in our country, no one is guilty of an immoral act. The other says that the person has a disease. (The AMA says alcoholism is a diseas, not me.) Diseases are biologically, not morally based.

Clever,questions though.

Seeing as how both actions hurt people other then the person doing the action, it's all about who you ask. The person who was raped and the people who have to live with the alcoholic.

What's the point, Bush deserves credit for not getting drunk as much? Is him drinking any less going to fix any of his ****-ups since he darkened the doorstep of the White House.
