Why is it so easy to imitate bad behavior but it is hard to break?

Because people reward bad behavior.

Because people get a rush when they think they are doing something rebellious or otherwise risky, and they get addicted to that rush.

Not to mention that many of the people around them will champion the bad behavior, rather than condemn it.
