Are you in college? What classes have you taken so far? Have you shadowed a dr or volunteered in an ER?
Do you want to do surgery, internal medicine, or something else?
Perhaps most importantly, are you good at memorizing things?
If you have some extra time and money, go to a book store and buy a board review book. Try a review book for step 1 of the USMLE or something like that.
If you want to make a lot of money, do something else. Between paying for med school and paying for medical malpractice insurance, you won't have as much left as you might think.

ummm. you just answered your own question. Medical school is hard, expensive, and it is tough to get in. So unless you REALLY want to be a doctor, you shouldnt go there.

If you are smart enough to get into med school and pass all the courses, you are smart enough to make even more money in business. So it is not an issue of money.

Everyone I know hwo advises students about their careers always says the same thing,,,, find a job you love, and then you will succeed!

Trouble? It is hard work. Not everyone can do it. Many can't even make it into med school. But is is a rewarding profession. I don't mean financially. Volunteers at Médecins Sans Frontières do wonderful work. Many doctors devote their work to helping those in need.

if you believe in a way a life above your own needs, you realize that doctors are needed everywhere. Its not the only way to help the world but it is one of the ways. Whatever career you choose, make sure it doesnt go against your personal morals.

You have to really feel a calling to be a dr. to go thru all the schooling required. Do not do it for the money or any other reason than a strong desire to be a dr.

Sorry to sound harsh but the kind of attitude that asks such a question isn't going to make much of a doctor.
Advice - change attitude or career choice.
