As far as we know, Ireland was first inhabited around 9,500 years ago. We know very little about these people. The country was first mentioned in historical records (by the Romans) in 100 AD. The free state of Ireland was founded in 1921, and Ireland became an independent state in 1948.

Well, the real answer to your question is that Eire was founded by the Little People soon after the island rose from the cold dark sea. It was during an age known as the Time of Mists.

My Island of Eire was given over to me as a direct Gift from God Almighty!!!! They tell me it's nice, I've never been........Yet!!!!
