Before you go to bed, like about 30 minutes before, eat a small snack. I suggest 1-2 oz of turkey (triptophan - spelling approximate), a cracker or a cookie, or if you are concerned about your weight - a low glycemic carbohydrate, like ½ apple, and also some nuts - almonds or peanuts are best. Do drink a glass of water with this. This is a recipe for some slow burning energy that will help level your blood sugar out for the night.
If your restlessness is due to your brain seeking blood sugar, because it is getting low in the middle of the night, this recipe will help that. If you don't want to snack before going to bed, have a dry snack ready by your bedside with a container of water and snack at 2:30 am. It may take until 3:30 to fall back asleep, but you should have enough blood sugar to do it by then. I always imagine what I would do if I won the lottery. That usually happily relaxes my mind enough to fall asleep.
If this works, and you should know it in about 3 days if it will consistantly, you may want to check out www.hufa.org for more info on low blood sugar, its causes and things you can do about it.

The real reason you can't sleep is... I believe is caused by all these Multi use electromagnetic low frequency towers going up every where. They disrupt the brain waves causing depression, and agitation like road rage. They say they are only cell towers. That's a bunch of B.S. See the link I posted below. But anyway try a herbal supplement blend that contains Valerian, hops, passion flower, chamomile. found at your local health food store for sleep. They have a calming effect on the body and mind. Going to a doctor to get sleeping pills from a pharmaceutical company might work for a while but will have major side effects over time. Like a sleepy hang over, mental confusion, brain fog, ect. and you will become chemically dependent on them.Where if you stop taking them you will go threw withdrawls and wake up with anxiety attacks.

I actually had this sort of problem for a while. My doctor gave me a presciption for Ambien and after a week I was fine, quit the drug.
Only thing I use Ambien for now is to knock myself out early when they all of the sudden need me to work 3rd shift (they want to make sure if something goes wrong it will not be a problem for many people).

drink a cup of chamomile tea before bed and use the restroom, make sure the room your sleeping in is well ventilated and that you would get hot at night, sounds silly but give it a try. works for me. Good luck with this. ; )

could be stress (in your sub-conscious mind). you need to relax completely when it's bed time. you may need some sleeping bills to fix it temporarily.
