we all know that Gretzky wore several numbers in juniors with the Pets, and the Soo, then he finaly started wearing #99 in junior. In his profesional career he did wear another number when he played with the Oilers in the WHA. which number was it. first to answer wins.

For his first game in the WHA the oilers did not have number 99 ready for Gretzky so the Oilers had him wear number 20.
