All 3 platies are in a 2.5 minibow, with a betta, so will tehy still reroduce even though the betta is there? Will th betta act as a distraction and stop them from reproducing? And, btw, how many questions can u ask per day?

Your tank is a little small for breeding. Try a 10 gal. tank. Make sure it has a filter and aeration. In the tank put gravel and some large plants which will give the female a place to hide in and give birth in. Make sure it has lots of leaves so the babies can hide from the bigger fish. The betta shouldn't bother anything except the small babies if he sees them. Be careful of how many fish you have in such a small area. I have a 50 gal. tank and started out with 18 platies now I have about 60 and will have to give some away very soon.

It depends on what level you are on. Level 1 is 10 questions a day. It goes up from there.

Platys do not reproduce as easily as other live bearers, and the chance of that happening in such a small tank as your own are even slimmer (not to mention the fact that the betta will systematically hunt down all the fry). Feed them more veggies if you really want to try, it will help

They need at least a 10 gallon with airation. Make sure there are stones and gravel on the bottom and a place for her to do her thing away from any thing that might be hungry.Leave the beta where it is. Ithink you can ask as many questions but it costs you point.

yes they are live breeders and will try once a month but the others will eat as many as they can if you dont place the pregnant female apart from them.
