My son is getting married. Their children will be less than perfect and for several generations my family has been marrying in order to produce better children. I am 6 foot 9 and my IQ is 162. My wife is 6 foot 3 and her IQ is 160. We have two sons. Our son that is getting married is 7 foot and has an IQ of 164, however the woman he is marrying is 5 foot 1 and has an IQ of 108. Their children will be inferior, what can I do to change his mind?

Technically his sons and daughters will live a much longer life. His daughters will most likely live longer, as they'll be shorter and that will put less strain on their hearts. Being tall may be physcially attractive, but it is terrible for long term health. His sons will be tall, however as that is sex-linked. Studies also show that high amounts of protien encourage growth.
Did you make his fiance' take an IQ test? The intellegence measured by a test can sometimes be biased, and a person can be taught tricks to increase their IQ. Intellegence is often based on how a child is raised, not genetics. It sounds like his fiance is within the normal range of intellegence. If your son found someone who is compatible with him then his kids will be well adjusted...that's very important
By the way, the top score on an IQ test is 160. just so you know...

A.) Obviously the poster does not have an IQ of 162 which is evident by simply reading over that sad paragraph.
B.) If in fact the writer does have any IQ over 90 they would realize that any number assigned to intelligence is at best estimated. The IQ system itself is man made and subject to error while also not holding any true value in the real world.
C.) IQ has no relation to success in life which is again evident by looking at the US president, it's leaders and most successful buisness owners. It is also clearly seen by this beautiful example we have here today of a so called 162 IQ asking on an internet forum how to dismantle his son's life.

You can do nothing that will change your sons mind, unless he himself sees the need to change how he feels. Most people marry for love, in the past people married for welath and estates. Who is to know that when your son marries that his children will be inferior?
I would make sure to tell my son that he and his wife can go thru genetic testing to rule out any abnormalities when he and his wife become pregnant.
I sont understand the need for a perfect child... My children are not perfect, but they are my children conceieved out of loce and affection. I just want what life gives me. If what life gives me is better than I had hoped for then that is great. If its less than what I had hoped for then I will do my best to make things better.
As far as children go, I wouldnt understand why the thought of having less than perfect children would be such a hindrance to any parent. A child, regardless of it inferiorities should be lved and cherished by its parents.
What does IQ have to do with it?
Obviously he loves her on more than just how smart she is. Her IQ is lower than his. Many children who are highly intelligent are born to parents whose IQ's are not very high. Many children are born, whose parents are highly intelligent, are born normal and average.
Does any child born to your sons, your grand children have to have HIGH IQ's in order to be loved and cherished?
Each child has its own uniqueness that is unlike any other child. I have 4 children who are still at home and although they are alike in many ways, there are things that set them apart and make them completely different from each other.
I love them all the same and yet I love them differently.

You are so wrong. When 2 geniuses marry, it doesn't mean they will have genius children. They might get low IQ or retarded children. So the parents' IQ will not determine the children's IQ. Read this up or go for courses on child rearing and you will find out for sure.

You dumb f uck! IQ scores are theory and they only apply to standardized exams. Not mental capabilities of the human genetics, the privilage you obviously do not obtain. This is unbelievable...shades of the master race. IQ is only an indication of potential. Many with high IQs have problems succeeding , others with lesser IQs are very creative and successful due to desire and effort. Quit obsessing over IQ, if he loves her it's his business. But, if you are determined - have him neutered (Adolf would approve)!

You have an IQ of 162 and yet you can't find the answer yourself - and your genius wife can't come up with the answer either? Maybe your giant genius bloodline isn't as superior as you believe it to be. You love your kids, you've hopefully given them the tools to make up their own minds, so now it's time to step back and let them blaze their own path, create their own bloodline and pray like hell their kids don't end up with IQ's of 185 and disown you for being so intellectually inferior.
