They brought Small Pox to a society that had on natural immunity to the virus. They also supplanted a health community of over 1 million indigenous people with a health economy of trading within the tribes. Again the Catholic church "best" intentions destroyed a society in the name of God and gold.

besides spreading disease and kidnapping the children to brainwash them you mean? missionaries and the mission system decimated a way of life. many of the tribes and thier cultures don't exist anymore thanks to the missionaries "help". they systematically helped the government to eradicate native americans and destroy their very lives by taking the only thing they had left their children...... a truly abhorent part of americas history.
