This is a question that has troubled me for some time now. To add to this, many of these weapons that other countries have were sold to them by the same American government that condemns it. It seems that once you are an Allie of America, you can buy just about anything from them and the world would not know. The minute you don't do what they want you to do, they proclaim to the world of what you have and what your country is doing that is so bad. America is seen by many now to be a world dictator with a government hell-bent to rule the world. The way it is going is as if though they want to rid the world of all op posers and have the world under their rule.

Okay i can totally understand this..
But Iraq etc will bomb other countries.
America is a civillized country with laws and rules in place.
Iraq etc is like a zoo.. they do whatever they please, they don't live in proper housing their countries are a mess.
Imagine if America let them have weapons of mass destruction? What do you think that the muslims , islamics would have done to the Pope for those comments? yeh bombed him..
America is the bigger kid & after 9-11 they took the little kids toys away.. Iraq cannot be trusted with nuclear weapons

i think part of it is because we saw up close and personal how much havoc that nuclear weapons created when we bombed japan. i don't think that any other country has that experience to draw upon. we were responsible for the deaths of many innocent people and we now know the after effects from using them. we don't want the world destroyed so we try to prevent others from having the capability to produce nuclear weapons.

A pure case of might is right. As the only superpower left on earth, America is trying to impose agendas and dictate attitudes. You are with us or against us. Disarm and bow or else..

It's not a matter of WMDs or not, -it's the governments that have them. We know how to 'behave' with WMDs. We really can't be sure of those other guys.
Fairness dicates, that it's just not fair to have roque nations running around with the capability to do so much damage.
Sorry if that hurts their 'feelings'.

We have a situation where a number of, mostly, highly industrialised and stable countries have nuclear weapons. Any new countries acquiring them, particularly if they are not stable, greatly increase the risk of nuclear conflict.

We american are the most civilised people, and civilised nations are allowed to use these WMD on other nations and destroy them. Then these civilised nations, will open no bid contracts given to halliburton or other such contractors, to reconstruct those destroyed by us, and this cycle will go on till someone come to disarm us in future.
