I am using refilled cartridges and I even replaced them with another brand of cartridges that were from another refill store. I am having the same problem after cleaning out the printer and installing the other cartridges. They advised me to use different cartridges and I am having the same problem. The printer is working fine however it is leaking ink on the bottom of it. I just dont want to throw the printer out it still works fine. Can someone give me some advise? Thanks in Advance.

Yeah, keep away from refilled cartridges. Studies show that refilled or remanufactured cartridges are 33 times more likely to fail. People think that they are cheaper, but in the long run they actually cost more- especially when they ruin your printer. Low grade gas might work in cars, but low grade ink is horrible on printers.

If ink costs are hurting you a bit, you may try one of the newer HP printers. Many people have complained about ink costs, so in turn, HP designed some of their latest printers with 6 individual cartridges (replace only the color that runs out instead of the entire tri-color cartridge). The 6 individual cartridges can be purchased for $37 in a value combo pack or individually for $10 each for the color and $18 for the black. These cartridges also last quite a while. And they won't leak in your printer!

Try going back to the factory cartridges. Refills sometimes aren't the best answer, often they overfill them so they last a bit longer. If the "factories" leak like that too, contact HP and see if it can be repaired, if needed. If it costs too much to repair, replacement may be your only option.
