I am a Muslim and I am in year 10 at school. People have been calling me Shabaz from Big Brother ever since it has been on. I knew that if I ignored this it peole would stop but I knew it wouldnt stop untill the whole show had finshed, and I was correct. I was in year 9 when nearly everybody called me Shabaz even peole who I didn't know such as this random girl a year 2 years below me. They were trying to tell me I was gay like the real Shabaz. So I put up with the misery all the way to the end of the year. Then we had our 6 week Summer Holidays. I knew that once I'd go back to school people would have stopped talking about it.
The same girl two years below me and her group of freinds who used to continuously call me the name, carried on.
Its been 3 weeks since the begining of year 10 an I am fed up of these girls. So I began to retalite when she shouted Shabaz to me in the middle of town, I pushed her out of my way. I know they will carry on at school. Help me by answering ^^^^^^^

She can obviously see that its affecting you still, either continue to ignore it or go to your school councillor and get advice, considering what she is doing is racisim....im sure you could manage to have her expelled......just remember she is probably just immature or scared of the culture from which you come from........sounds like your school would do well to teach a little racial tolerance, it might be worth suggesting it to the school councillor if and when you speak to them.

Frist off all I like shabaz I think he would be fun to know has long as he cut his crap out that is.
Next can you not just tell these silly little girls too shut up.
or dont let them see that it is getting to you just keep walking away from them dont look at them.
once they see you dont care any more what they think about you they will leave you alone cause it's no fun for them any more cause you are not getting up set.
and they will go and pick on some one else
or you could tell some one at school what is going on
but you need to do some thing
STAND UP TO THEM AND DO SOME THING
you can not let them get away with bullying you

You have my sympathy, I think these children have no idea what they are even talking about. Possibly you could go to the principal, and explain what is going on and have him speak to the children about the fact that it is against the law to profile some one because of their race religion or sexuality. He might also explain that it is against not only the law but human rights and what the penalties are for committing such a crime

Tell your parents, a teacher you trust, the school principal. they can deal with situation appropriatly. it dosnt matter if they call you a tattle tale, because it's better than being called Shabaz, and if they know they can get in trouble, they'll lose intrest and leave you alone. good luck!

Why are you letting her getting away with this? First thing you have to do is speak to your school as they should have some kind of anti-school bullying scheme by law, if not then you should speak to someone to advise you properly like Childline, they are there for all sorts of problems and they can help, but I would speak to this girl and frighten her by telling her the action you will take if she keeps going with this abuse, it may be enough to stop her but if not you have to take matters into your own hands and kick this into touch. Don't resort to violence as this only brings you down to her level and you could be the one who gets done for it rather than her.

I know it sucks, they are trying to get a rise out of you. just ignore it. Otherwise talk with the principal or guidence councler. they take bullying very serious now. These girls just dont have a life and prob feel bad about themselves.

okay...this is what you do...
report this whole story and everything that has happened the past couple of years with this girl and her friends to your school counselor or principle. that is the principles job to help you out of these types of situations. it is what they are there for....to keep civil peace within the school grounds and within the class rooms and students. your school principle will put a stop to the "name calling" and HARRASMENT. if your school prinicple does not make any improvement in this situation by you reporting this story to them...then it is up to you to contact your local police station and have a report written up to file against this girl and her friends for HARRASMENT CHARGES. this is a serious crime, that they are commiting against you...and it is up to you to file a complaint to your school principle or "dean" of your school.....and also to your town or city police at the police station. if you cannot drive to the police station to make a complaint against these girls...then call the local area phone number for the police station and explain your story and situation to them over the phone and ask them what they can do to stop this HARRASMENT because it is making your life a living hell to tolerate, and as a united states citizen you have rights that protect you from this kind of personal conduct from another civilian. also let these girls know that they will get into trouble and you will report them to your local school principle and local police station for HARRASMENT if they do not stop saying mean and wrong things about you every time they see you. make it clear that they will not get away with that type of behavior and that you have had enough.
they have no choice but to stop if you report them. if they continue to do it after you report them, let your local police know about each time that you see them and they do it. write down notes and keep up with the time and date of the day each thing happens and each thing they say and keep a record of it...and let your police and school prinicple know about it. that will help them know how often its taking place and give you a better chance of explaining the situations to them. good luck! it will get better. keep you chin up.

Try not to retaliate m8 as they will increase their attacks on you. My son lost an awful lot of weight when he was at school and they still named him fatty. The Schoolyard is the most awful place for name calling and you will see the difference when you leave....keep on in there m8....

Do your parents know ? Go to the head to get it sorted. My kids school have a police woman in twice a week for bullies. Don't think its racism cos my son is white/british and is bullied. He had glue and paint smeared over his clotes and face, you need to get your parents and head involved, you're not the only one to be bullied, it needs to be STOPPED.
