I dono't know why ITV take it so seriously now. We should all just admit that the winner will just be popular for a few months after the show, and then fade into obscurity.

It's entertainment and some people are really talented on it, but they shouldn't believe that it will make them a long term pop star, and I think the show takes itself a bit too seriously sometimes.

After all, the judges are just having a laugh most of the time and, sad as it sounds, they don't really care about the contestants that much really.

No its not a waste of time do you think Will Young would ever of got a contract without the telly programme. No he wouldn't its giving people a chance to go and show what they can do and for someone (simon ) to give them an honest opinion and tell them what they think. If there was pop idol or x factor in the days of elvis he could very well have got fame through the programme!

Rhydian did no longer lose with the aid of fact he's a a good distance better singer than Leon and Leon in easy terms gained with the aid of fact of unfair vote casting. If somebody has expertise and that's offered to the interest of the music industry by X element why could they no longer get a settlement? that is not a prize that is an end consequence of having expertise, regrettably something Leon purely does not have so why is he being rewarded?

well not really, its just some winners are better at coping with fame than others. E.g. will young - hes still going. As are girls aloud. I know they didnt come from the X factor but its the same principle. And it makes good tv.
