This reflects the socialism democrats have been trying to establish for many years. When the inefficient doctors are weeded out and their malpractice insurance rates drop, health care will be much more affordable.

One only needs to look at the countries having socialized or government paid health insurance, to see how unhappy many of them are.

Either way it will be expensive and low quality. There is simply no substitute for competition.

What we need to do is reduce the costs of healthcare. Limit tort, and get the government completely out of it.

Many countries pay for health care. The people also have to pay a very large sum for taxes.

The gov't doesn't PAY for anything YOU DO. So when I smoke 3 packs a day for 30 years and need a new lung, heart, quadruple bypass, YOU PAY FOR IT.

You don't want government controlled health care. Ask Canada about socialized medicine. Ask them how long it takes to get an appointment with a specialist, or how long it takes them to get scheduled for surgery.
Don't want to go there.
