Problem: (4y-3)-(4-y)=3(y+3)
1. (4y-3)-(4-y)=3y+9
2. 4y-3-4+y=3y+9
3. 5y-7=3y+9
4. 2y-7=9
5. 2y=16 (then divide by 2)

distribute the negative to the (4-y) and the 3 to the (y+3). u then have 4y - 3 - 4+y= 3y +9

when u have that, just add and subtract the like terms. u'll get

5y-7=3y+9

then do the same here, but by subtracting and adding terms from side to side. u'll get

2y=16

divide and u get y=8

4y-3-4+y=3y+9
5y-7=3y+9
+7 +7
5y = 3y +16
-3y -3y
2y = 16
2y/2 = 16/2
y=8

First do te math on the right side.
3(y+3) = 3y+9
Then do the math on the left side (subtraction)
Then move the integer to the right by adding it to both sides.
Then move the "y" to the left by subtracting it from both sides.
Then solve.
