Go to A+E and get it checked out. It could be either.

Hi its more then likely just badly bruised, when you get a smack on the nose hard people normally get shadows around there eyes this is normal. If your worried go to your nearesy A/E and they will x-ray it just in case you havent a small fracture there, you wouldnt know if you have until you have a x-ray,but there isnt nothing we do these days for this injury these fractures heal by them selfs.Good Luck

You could have broken it, so go to A&E or your doctor to make sure. There's not alot they can do except straighten it if your nose is crooked but give you some pain killers if you need them. Hope you feel better soon - the bruises always look worse than they are and will go away in a few days.

Could well be broken as a break usually doesn't bleed but rather just bruises. The quick but nasty way to check is to pinch and then move your nose, if there is a grating sound you've broken it. However, a visit to your gp will probably be nicer.

You may have damaged the septum (the division between your nostrils. Many years ago I ran into someone standing in the baseline in playing a baseball game and I heard a crunch. My septum is bent to one side but my nose on the outside looks fine. Finally a few years ago I went and talked to a nose and throat doctor and he told me the tip of my nose was chipped off. Whatever; I decided I didn't want him to operate on my nose. The oxygen I breathe in through my nostril is compromised because of the injury but I am surviving.

It isn't likely to be broken just bruised. But it needs to be x-rayed for damage. If there is damage that needs attention - it should be done now. if it "heals" and you have a broken nose or something else - you could have sinus problems later - get it checked just in case. if something needs treating - it will be easier now than later.

You do not have a bone in the nose, it sounds like you have bruised the septum which will discolour your eyes.

I would get it checked out as the nose is cartlidge and isnt as strong as bone so i would see a gp or consultant.
