The European hotel I'm staying in says it has free wi-fi connection. My laptop has Airport Extreme card installed. Do I need to bring anything else for connectivity?

Airport Extreme is simply Apple's brand name for their 802.11g products. You won't need anything else.

As long as your system is able to browse airwaves and detect wi-fi networks you should not have a problem.

Just to be sure you can download Net Stumbler. A wi-fi utility that will allow you to detect any wireless network in the area. I find that Net Stumbler sometimes can find signals that are too weak for Windows. It may be good to have anyway.

~ I guess just make sure you bring your power adapter... [You might use all the juice in your battery]
