I've just counted all my manga (I was bored waiting for something to download) I have 602 manga and 27 anime boxsets. I was just wondering how that compared to other people? Also is it possible to have too much manga? If so how much is too much?

I only have 5 or 6 volumes of manga but I have quite a few anime DVDS......around 70. That's not individual DVDs but actual series (where I own the boxed set or have boughten all of the DVDs in the series) or individual movies, like the Ghost in the Shell movies or the Studio Ghibli movies.
I firmly believe there is no such thing as having too much anime. So my collection increases every several months.
In my opinion, the only way you can say that you have too much anime or manga is if it actually interferes with your life.......you don't work or go to school and you are in severe financial trouble trying to satisfy your "fix".

Hmm... i'm no longer antagonistic or with the assumption. i think of it may well be cool for there to be an anime and manga section provided that anime and manga actual has that is own call. In different words, that is no longer called comics and animation. particular, that's a form of jap animation and jap comics, whether that is nonetheless called a distinctive call, and of direction, incredibly distinctive from comics and animation. having mentioned that, I could believe a number of what you're asserting---yet don't get so worked up approximately it! ^^

I have no anime and only about 5 books of manga, English and Chinese. I don't have a lot of manga, but strangely I draw manga illustrations :/
I don't think it's too much. Just remember not to blow all your money on manga and anime.

To save space all my anime collection resides on 6 external hard drives with a total capcity of about 2.5 TB of which 3/4 of it is full anime.
True Otaku would not deal with limits or what is too much. He would figure out how he can expand without building or buying more shelve space.

I have 2 Manga (Shaman King Volume 2 and DNAngel Volume 8). And I have no anime so far. I wish I had enough money to afford all of that because I like nime and manga too, I'm just too cheap to actually buy one for full price but yet, I still do. (My parents don't buy them for me).
