It's isn't absolutely necessary if it is actual baby food. Baby food is already cooked. It really depends on whether your baby likes his food warm or cold.

Well, it is not about if it is necessary or not. I mean it would be nice if you do. Would you like to eat your food cold as an adult? Babies are human beings too and they also like to eat food when it is nice and warm.
I am not sure about how picky your baby is but most of the times, babies seem to enjoy their food better when it is heated up warm.

No, I don't think that it is. However certain types of food taste better to your child when warm, IE meats, peas, green beans. That said, some jarred foods taste better cold, like the desserts and fruits (especially if they are teething). And as with any open baby food product, always refrigerate any leftovers and dispose of any open jars after the manufactures recommended date.

Nope. It's not even necessary that she eat baby food. She can eat what you're eating, warm or cold, as long as you cook food until it's soft and chop it up small.

(Of course, she can't eat the things on the no-no list: usually milk, egg whites, chocolate, strawberries, peanut butter (or really any nuts), and honey.)

if its something i cooked then its either warmed up cos its been in the fridge or cos i juts made it but if you use the convenient baby food in cans/jars then normally you can feed at room temperature or warm up, other methods you need to read the actual box etc..

No it isn't but do you eat your lasagna or chicken pot pie cold? The whole point is to give them food as they would normally eat it. Breast milk is given warm (body temp) formula should be given warm. It is part of the experience. Wait until she's old enough to understand the cold pizza thing.

No. My doctor told me that it wasn't even necessary to warm their bottles. So, I did cold bottles from birth on (my mom and grandma about had strokes over it). They are 11 and 13 now, and never suffered.
