You sound like you are from the U.K. with the word "rubbish" and "telly". We have rubbish on the TV in the U.S. too on Saturday night. Saturday Night Live is a crap shoot. Sometimes it is good and sometimes it is god awful. It depends on the host and musical guest for sure. Besides that we have a shitload of police shows on TV on Saturday night. Same crap over and over. Some cop dragging some redneck out of a trailer park for some domestic abuse issue. And then you got the America's Most Wanted crap. You gotta hear John Walsh babble on and on about "bad guys". I think the worst show ever known to man (besides Full House or Small Wonder) is also on Saturday night- America's Funniest Home Videos. You gotta see some people get kicked in the nuts over and over and over. And the same douche that was on Full House just happened to host America's Funnies Home Videos for a while. Go figure. My grandmother loves the show. I sure hope I didn't get too many of her genes passed down to me. Yeah, Saturday night television here really blows too.

I agree completely! The only thing that's ever on is Saturday Night Live, and even that isn't great anymore. I usually resort to renting a movie if I'm not going out on a Saturday night.

It's fab! X Factor, Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, Casualty, Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Parkinson. I don't know where you live but I love Saturday Night on TV. That's why I pay my licence fee!

They think that everyone goes out on Saturday nights so it doesnt matter what they put on...... not the case eh. We should have good viewing at the weekends as it is the only time that some get to relax.

TV has really went to the dogs. We need creative and clen minded people to create good family programmming suitable to watch without smut. The more smut they need to add, is because the less of a plot it has, so they use sex, violence etc to make someone fall for their lame attention. The public should demand better programming. These Hollywood producers ect make the big bucks, they should start earning it.

We watched BBC America for most of the summer. Thank heaven we have all these NEW (USA) fall line-up shows to be bored with!!! I was SOOOO tired of being bored by all the old (network) ones. How soon will the new replacement shows be on the air?

I totally agree, do they not think that some people like quiet nights in, have children to look after or are just plain knackered on a night!
