Its strange, i didnt know who won the vietnam war but now ive studdied it and people said that america lost misserably, but why don't they say that? I know all about the vietcong and how trhey beat american marines (jungle, boobie traps, tunneling etc.) but americans say that they just left, apparently the war costed them thousands of men, billions of dollars and ruined the lives of marines, I just heard, more marines killed themselves then that who were killed by the war, I dont understand why dont americans admit it? They were defeated and had to run home? Its actually quite intresting.

If you claim to have studied the Vietnam War, then it's obvious that you didn't study that hard. What you believe you know about the Vietnam War and what you believe Americans think about the Vietnam War is incorrect.

The rank and file of the American public believes we lost the war. I'm a con lai (half-breed Vietnamese-American), I have been studying the Vietnam War for many years and I still believe the U.S. lost the war.

Did you know that at least 1,100,000 PAVN and Viet Cong soldiers died compared to 58,226 U.S. soldiers?

Did you know that the Viet Cong was destroyed after the Tet Offense in 1968? The Viet Cong after the Tet Offense were actually PAVN (North Vietnamese Army) soldiers.

Did you know that tens of thousands of Viet Cong soldiers and their supporters died in those tunnels that you're talking about? I visited the Cu Chi tunnels and the jungle VC camps in Can Gio, and there's a bomb crater every ten to twenty feet as far as I can see.

Most of the South Vietnamese who lived during the Vietnam don't believe the Americans lost the war, but just stopped fighting and went home. They could arguably be correct, but in my informed opinion and the opinion of the vast majority of Americans is the War was lost.

More Marines didn't kill themselves than the war. That's hogwash! The United States left because it was costing too much money and too many lives of American servicemen. As we always said, we could have cleared Vietnam and made a parking lot out of it.

Ooooooooh dcm, you're asking waaaaayyyyyyyyy tooooooo much if you want the americans to admit defeat, or even to admit they are ever wrong is asking an aweful lot of them. Didn't you know? america and americans is and are the greatest nation and people in the world, so how could they possibly admit any such thing?

We know we were defeated. Why do you think we pulled out? What makes you say that we don't admit it?
